Itineraries
The world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only a page.
— Saint
Augustine

The
adage is best realized after one has visited India — a miniature world, a complete
planet by itself. India is as diverse as any ‘land mass’ can
be. It is a lesson in geographical terminologies, a chronological survey of
human history, a collection of all race types and a study in culture. It is
a 'museum of anthropology', as a 19th century British scholar commented.
Not many countries in the world offer the kind of geographical diversity India
has to offer – the highest mountains, the mightiest rivers, vast flatlands,
dense forests, sun soaked beaches, a great desert and hundreds of tropical islands.
Certainly no other country juxtaposes Stone Age cultures and Post-modern groups
almost at the same time and space. Here many civilizations flourished, kingdoms
rose and fell — leaving behind an array of splendid historic attractions, deserted
monuments, battle-scarred forts and exquisite temples. And, nowhere else in
the world are people as colorful as the inhabitants of India — they are forever
ready to celebrate life, welcoming it differently but always joyously.
In-spite-of pressures of modernization, India still has over 350 species of
mammals, 2100 species

of
birds, nearly 350 reptiles and countless insects. Of the highly endangered species
of the world, India has 55% of world’s Tiger population, 50% of Asiatic Elephant,
60% of One-horned Rhino and 100% of Asiatic Lion.
India is a bewildering wealth of sights and sounds. Each of its diverse regions
has its own charm that has to be experienced to be believed. To a visitor, India
is an everlasting journey of discovery; it has something for everybody. In fact,
one can visit India more than a dozen times and without repeating a destination.
Come, read the book of life but and do not forget its most interesting chapter….
Discover the land of warmth, traditions and celebrations…next time when you
travel.
